FRANK STEWARD

From July 1909 until he left in December 1915, Frank Steward played the Foreman of the Jury, the Lieutenant of the Tower, Strephon, 2nd Citizen, Antonio, Giuseppe, Counsel, Colonel Calverley, and Pish-Tush; although he played most of these parts apparently just for one or two seasons, he regularly played the Foreman and Antonio, and when he returned to the Company in 1918 he came back as Foreman and Antonio.

In 1919 he went to the "New" Opera Company, the second, smaller Company touring the No.2 dates, where he stayed until 1925, playing the Lord Chancellor, Ko-Ko, Duke of Plaza-Toro, Jack Point, the Judge, General Stanley, Sir Joseph, and Robin Oakapple.

He next turns up in the records as understudying Robin Oakapple from 1932 to 1933, and then from 1934 to 1937, when he left the Company.
